Moorside Archery Club is an OnTarget, community club based in Swinton, West Manchester. We are affiliated to the Lancashire Archery Association (LAA) and Archery GB (previously know as The Grand National Archery Society – GNAS).  We are a small, friendly, community club who see ourselves as a club that will help you get started in archery although we have archers of all levels, ages and abilities.

This year, we are celebrating 10 years in operation.

We meet every Tuesday evening at Holyrood Church Hall in Swinton.  The hall contains a 12 metre range and a 10 metre range (used for beginner courses).  The hall has easy access and we have a number of disabled archers who shoot with us.  We also have the use of a 50m outdoor space which we use for a regular shoot during the summer months.

The outdoor shoots are available to members after completion of a beginners course lasting 6 weeks.  Please note that we are not currenntly accepting new members although we hope to be recruiting again in the near future.

We only use recurve archery style bows. These are the more traditional “Olympic” style of archery bows.  We currently do not allow the use of more powerful compound or longbows at the club.
